In response to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation, Omnix V6 is able to provide the following functional enhancements enabling you to meet the heavy vehicle compliance requirements.
The most significant enhancement is mass & dimension limits (capacity checking), which assist with meeting the safety accreditation levels established by NHV regulators.
Capacity checking is available in V6Dispatch when manual or auto allocation occurs of freight to a manifest and vehicle:
Mass (Maximum Weight)
he maximum weight is the carrying capacity of the vehicle, usually in kilograms (kg), but could be tonnes as well. The unit must be the same as what will be used to quantify the freight.
Volume (Maximum Volume)
The maximum volume is the volumetric capacity of the vehicle, usually in cubic meters (m3). The unit must be the same as what will be used to quantify the freight.
Pallets (Maximum Pallets)
The maximum pallets is the number of pallet spaces capacity of the vehicle, in units of each. This assume a single(1) stack configuration, without the aid of pallet racking or double or triple stacking.
Pallets (Maximum Pallets)
The maximum items is the number of units (containers, drums, skids, etc.) capacity of the vehicle, in units of each.
Other
Other constraints are there purely as information and will not generate any alert or message at the time of creating a load plan or allocation of freight. This includes Maximum Height, Width, Length, Internal Height, Tailgate and Crane.
Drivers moving freight containers must have valid Container Weight Declarations.
Loads must be appropriately restrained with appropriate equipment.
It is important to note that other constraints such as driver to vehicle, trailer to vehicle, etc. are not controlled and operators must ensure license and capacity constraints are matched in this area.
