Followmont Transport upgrades to Omnix SmartMove 4.2 having been a user since 1995. This decision was based on new features as well as additional functionality available in the new release.

New Features Introduced

• New add-hock reporting capability
• New product features/subsystems
• Increased functionality
• New redundancy capability
• New “history” reporting facility

Due to substantial growth over the past years they required to refresh systems & technologies to streamline the business processes and support the business over the next 5 years.

This is being achieved with the implementation of a new client (Genero) and middleware (Express Runtime). Over time more customers and agents will trade on-line with the remainder of customers migrated off client side applications to real-time processing.

To ensure 100% uptime Followmont is also rolling out a redundant host, which will ensure continued trading in the event of any catastrophic failure of their primary systems.
